Steel Shroud Overview
The Steel Shroud is the main component of the anti theft device called Padlock protection.
The Steel Shroud was designed and tested during 2003. Product launch in February 2004 and our first sale was to a client in Sydney Australia in March 2004. Since then we have sold countless numbers of Padlock protection throughout Australia plus we have exported to the USA, Canada, UK, some countries in Europe.
Due to the success of Padlock Protection we decided to design and manufacture another security product that includes Padlock protection Steel Shroud unique high security benefits and features.
This is why we designed the
Wheel Security.
Making that decision we have created the
ultimate security system
for a towable or driveable Vehicle
the Supreme Wheel Clamp.
We know of NO OTHER Wheel Clamp sold world-wide that is more secure.
The Steel Shroud is made from a Steel Billet and manufactured using the latest CNC machining technology and finally Zinc plated with a gold passovated finish to protect it from climatic conditions.
The Steel Shroud completely encloses the Padlock body, its Shackle and both ends of 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain as you can see in the picture to your right.
There are three methods 99% of thieves use to break a Padlock, they are:
- Leverage Attack
- Hammer Attack
- Bolt Cutter Attack
The Steel Shroud is designed to STOP thieves from breaking a Padlock by any of the above-mentioned three methods.
This ensures a vehicle's Wheel fitted with the

To enable the Wheel Security to fit all diameter and width wheels from a Wheel on a Jet Ski Trailer up to a Wheel on a 4WD Camper Trailer and all size wheels between we supply a standard length of Chain.

Both above pictures are using the same
length of 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain.
If purchasing the Enforcer or Protector supplying the same length of Chain is ok as any extra length of Chain can hang in front of the Steel Shield as seen in the two pictures above.
Supreme
As the Supreme Wheel Security includes the Steel Shroud, to lock this security system both the ends of the High Tensile Chain must be placed in the slot on each side of the Steel Shroud, as seen in the picture to your right.
Therefore the Chain has to be cut to the exact length required for the vehicle's Wheel it is going to be protecting.
Cutting The High Tensile Chain To Length
As you must realise:
- There are many different diameter and width wheels and tyres.
- The distance from the back of the tyre to the leaf spring or tubular frame, as used to manufacture most caravan's chassis, varies.
- The size of the steel used to make tubular frames used on most Caravans also varies in dimension.
Due to the above and other reasons we cannot supply the High Tensile Chain to the length you require for your towable or driveable Vehicle when purchasing the Supreme Wheel Security.
This is why we supply a standard length of 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain and when you receive your Supreme Wheel Security you need to cut the High Tensile Chain to length.
Included with each Wheel Clamp are instructions how to measure the length of High Tensile Chain you require.
The method to cut 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain is, with a high speed angle grinder. Most people will know someone who owns one if not contact any of the following:
- Sheet metal manufacturer.
- Any other manufacture that makes metal products.
- Some plumbers.
- Some electricians.
Every suburb will have most or all of the above trades.
